Dr. Ken Kikuchi
Dr. Kenichi Kikuchi is originally from Japan. He is a board orthopedic surgeon. He trained at University of Kobe, Hyogo, Japan and is actually a graduate student at the Department of Orthopedics, Kobe University Hospital. Dr. Kenichi Kikuchi has a strong background in biology and has performed multiple basic and clinical studies on arthroplasty, cartilage degeneration and regeneration therapy during the last years. Dr. Kenichi Kikuchi has performed numerous presentations and has a broad published in high rated journals. He will be joining our department in April 2023 as a post-doc and will be focusing in the biology of pre-OA hip including DDH and FAI. We are very proud and excited to have him join us.
Dr. Pascual with Dr.Haneda and Dr. Kamenaga at the ORS Meeting. Drs Haneda and Kamenaga are Orthopedic Surgeons from University of Kobe, Japan. They are spending 2 years at Dr. Pascual’s lab and they are currently investigating the mediators of OA in the pre-OA hip.
Dr. Masahiko Haneda
Dr. Masahiko Haneda is originally from Japan. He is a board orthopedic surgeon. He trained at University of Kobe, Hyogo, Japan and is actually a post-graduate student at the Department of Orthopedics, Kobe University Hospital. Dr. Masahiko Haneda has a strong background in biology and has performed during the last years multiple studies on osteoarthritis with specific focus in inflammation and degenerative pathways. Dr. Masahiko Haneda has performed numerous presentations and has a broad published in high rated journals. His articles have been focused in degenerative pathways in the OA cartilage. He will be joining our department in March 2018 as a post-doc and will be focusing in the biology of pre-OA hip including DDH and FAI. We are very proud and excited to have him join us.
Dr. Tomoyuki Kamenaga
Dr. Tomoyuki Kamenaga is originally from Japan. He is a board orthopedic surgeon. He trained at University of Kobe, Hyogo, Japan and is actually a graduate student at the Department of Orthopedics, Kobe University Hospital. Dr. Tomoyuki Kamenaga has a strong background in biology and biomechanics and has performed during the last years multiple basic and clinical studies on preservation surgery, arthroplasty, cartilage degeneration and regeneration therapy. Dr. Tomoyuki Kamenaga has performed numerous presentations and has a broad published in high rated journals. He will be joining our department in July2020 as a post-doc and will be focusing in the biology of pre-OA hip including DDH and FAI. We are very proud and excited to have him join us.
This position is a 2-year paid position. The candidate must be a PhD or MD with deep understanding of the biology of cartilage with specific focus in the hip. The candidate must be skillful in different lab techniques including: DNA, RNA and Protein isolation, Small interfering RNA (siRNA) transfection, RT-PCR, RT-quantitative PCR, Western Blotting, SDS-PAGE, Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P, IHC-Fr), Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), bioprinting and ELISA. In addition, the candidate will be working with small and large animal models. The candidate will be able to participate in weekly research and clinical conferences and interact with orthopedic surgeons. The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a group of surgeons and engineers focused on understanding cartilage repair, pre-OA disease including FAI and DDH.
