Cartilage Lesions
Cartilage lesions are of high prevalence in patients with hip impingement. These lesions are normally treated during hip arthroscopy. Most of the lesions are treated with microfracture. However, there are certain situations where the chondral lesions are big enough that a cell therapy should be indicated.
When a cartilage lesion is performed, the patients need to remain non weigh bearing during 6 weeks post operative to allow the cartilage to heal.
