Dr. Pascual Garrido Awarded 2022 Otto Aufranc Hip Society Research Award
Dr. Pascual has been given one of the most prestigious research award from the American Hip Society for her work on "Identification of Key Molecular Players in the Progression of Hip Osteoarthritis through Transcriptomes and Epigenetics". This award is given to scientists that have shown innovative research, encompassing important advances in the management of hip disorders. Dr. Pascual will be presenting her work in the AAOS meeting in Chicago, March 2022.
Dr. Pascual Garrido Awarded 2021 AOSSM Cabaud Memorial Award
This award is given by AOSSM to the best paper submitted concerning hard or soft tissue biology, in-vitro research, laboratory or "bench-type" research, or in-vivo animal research. The award was given for her research entitled, "Understanding Molecular Pathogenic Pathways in Hip Femoroacetabular Impingement through Transcriptomes and a Small Animal Model".
Dr. Cecilia Pascual-Garrido was awarded the Lee T. Ford Award for Academic Achievement (2020)
This award recognizes her tremendous research productivity, including multiple publications in high impact journals and grant awards. Dr. Pascual Garrido also recently received a prestigious K08 NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award

Dr. Pascual Garrido awarded 2018 OREF Research Grant
It is a great honor to receive the OREF Goldberg Research Grant in Arthritis Care for the project on "Intraarticular Metabolic Activity in the Pre-Osteoarthritic Hip". I hope this study allow us to have a better insight of the biology behind the pre-OA hip (FAI-DDH) and help us identify the OA genes that are involved in this devastating disease @ Washington University, Young Adult Hip, Orthopedics Department.

Dr. Pascual-Garrido, MD, PhD awarded 2016 AOSSM/Sanofi Biosurgery Osteoarthritis Grant
The American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) has awarded Dr. Cecilia Pascual-Garrido, MD, PhD with the 2016 Sanofi Biosurgery Osteoarthritis Grant. Her application, "Cartilage Repair with Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) Delivered in a Novel Chondroitin Sulfate/Polyethylene Glycol Hydrogel in an Equine Animal Model", was selected as the winner of the $50,000 grant.
